We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and applicable Cypriot data protection legislation.
We collect the following personal data: first name, last name, email address, phone number, preferred work position, preferred destination, date of birth, nationality, language skills, quiz answers, and any other information you provide through our contact form, quiz or application process. If you use Facebook Login, we may also receive your Facebook profile name and email address associated with your Facebook account.
We collect data directly from you when you: fill out our contact or application form, complete the Work Cyprus quiz, register via Facebook Login, send us an email, contact us via WhatsApp, or communicate with us through social media. We also collect data automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you visit our website.
We process your data for the following purposes: (a) matching you with suitable job positions at hotels and restaurants in Cyprus; (b) communicating with you about available positions and the recruitment process; (c) sharing your profile with potential employers upon your consent; (d) improving our services and website; (e) sending you relevant job offers and updates (only with your consent); (f) complying with legal obligations.
We process your personal data based on: (a) your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) β when you submit a form, complete the quiz, or opt in to communications; (b) performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) β when processing is necessary to provide our placement services; (c) legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) β for website analytics and service improvement; (d) legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) β where applicable law requires us to retain or report certain data.
We may share your personal data with: (a) partner hotels and employers in Cyprus (Grecian Hotels, Sunrise Hotels, and other verified employers) β only the data necessary for recruitment purposes; (b) technology service providers: Vercel Inc. (website hosting), Supabase Inc. (database), Resend Inc. (transactional email); (c) analytics tools: Vercel Analytics, Meta Pixel (only with your cookie consent); (d) public authorities where required by law. All third-party providers are either located in the EU/EEA or provide adequate data protection safeguards.
Some of our service providers (Vercel, Supabase, Resend) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or the service provider's adherence to adequate data protection frameworks.
We retain your personal data for a maximum of 24 months from your last interaction with us. If you are placed in a position, we retain relevant records for up to 36 months after the end of your placement. You may request early deletion at any time.
